Oggi è il giorno dell’Immacolata, si respira sempre di più il clima natalizio e per i più tradizionalisti, è anche il giorno da dedicare alla preparazione dell’albero di Natale.

Io scelgo il rosso, caldo e d’atmosfera, secondo me è proprio il colore più natalizio, anche se ammetto che l’eleganza del blu, dell’argento e dell’oro è indiscutibile.
Anche se gli addobbi non vi mancano, pensavo di postare uno step by step per creare una pallina natalizia fai-da-te, da appendere all’albero o perché no, da utilizzare come decorazione per il vostro soggiorno.
Ovviamente per quanto riguarda l’handmade, mi piace sempre acquistare poco e sfruttare ciò che offrono gli angoli sperduti della nostra casa e così, l’unica cosa da acquistare sarà la pallina di polisterolo.
Da Bricofer ne vendono di varie forme, quella media la trovate a 0,35 Euro, mentre da Micros con 0,50 Euro, prendete un set da 4.
Una volta acquistata la vostra base, per il resto non avrete problemi…procuratevi dei pezzetti di stoffa leggera, magari sul rosso o di qualsiasi colore vi piaccia, oppure come ho fatto io, recuperate dei ritagli di carta da regalo natalizia, meglio se di 4 differenti colori, poi prendete un paio di forbici, un taglierino, uno stuzzicadenti, una colla, una matita, un bel nastro e se avete applicazioni natalizie, fiocchetti o quant’altro, teneteli a portata di mano, potrebbero servirvi per l’abbellimento finale.
Come prima cosa, prendiamo la pallina di polisterolo e con la matita tracciamo una linea decisa che la divide a metà, e poi un’altra linea che va a creare 4 spicchi. Con il taglierino, intagliamo seguendo le linee, questi 4 spicchi, stiamo attenti a non far sbriciolare il polistero, ma incidiamo in modo deciso. Prendiamo il primo pezzetto di carta da regalo, tagliamolo cercando di avvicinarci alla grandezza del primo spicchio da coprire e con l’aiuto di uno stuzzicadenti cerchiamo di inserire i lembi all’interno della linea intagliata, se la carta è troppo grande tagliamola ancora ed inseriamo ben ben tutta la carta fino a coprire la porzione di polisterolo,(se preferite potete utilizzare un filo di colla per farla meglio aderire). 
Dopo questa manovra, avrete davanti una pallina per 3/4 di polisterolo e per 1/4 rivestita di carta.
Con molta pazienza, ripetete l’operazione anche per gli altri 3 spicchi, magari scegliendo colori diversi, in modo da esaltare il vostro santo lavoro. Avendo utilizzato della carta, ovviamente avremo qualche piega da appiattire, ma vi assicuro che non risulterà invadente.
Una volta ottenuto un risultato omogeneo, prendete due pezzetti di nastro a vostro piacimento e passatelo attorno alla pallina, prima annodatene uno e poi l’altro. Con dello scotch, unite i lembi dei due nodi e tagliate la stoffa in esubero, il risultato deve ricordare “una bomba a mano” per intenderci.
A questo punto sbizzarritevi con le decorazioni, magari applicate un bel fiocco colorato, o costruitelo voi stessi, se avete campanellini, simboli natalizi inseriteli nel picciolo della pallina, e per completare il tutto, procuratevi una forcina per capelli, con decisione infilatea nella parte superiore ed avrete ottenuto un appendino pronto per l’uso.

Il risultato finale è davvero soddisfacente…è vero che bisogna avere a disposizione almeno una quarantina di minuti e un bel bagaglio di pazienza, ma per chi ama il fai-da-te e a differenza mia, è anche bravo, sarà una passeggiata.
