Ho seguito con emozione l’avventura degli allthetime perchè questa giovane band italo-americana nel loro sogno musicale non ha mai smesso di credere. Si conoscono dai tempi del liceo, sono legati da una forte amicizia e hanno condiviso le prime esperienze musicali. Di gavetta, di notti insonni e di sacrifici ne hanno collezionati a bizzeffe, ma la passione non muore di fronte ad una porta chiusa, la passione si nutre delle sconfitte e arriva il giorno in cui uno spiraglio di luce illumina il tuo cammino.
Questa luce per Alberto Maiozzi, Simon Empler, Stefano Aniceto ed Emmanuel Manny Venturis è finalmente arrivata ed oggi ha un nome, quello del loro primo singolo “Are You Feeling Me Now” che in questi giorni sta scalando le classifiche, conquistando le radio e si sta facendo strada grazie al Radio World Tour 2017, in tutto il mondo. Italia, Germania, Spagna, America del Nord e America Latina, questo brano dal sound britannico, vibrante ed emozionale colpisce delicamente l’orecchio sin dal primo ascolto. E’ bellezza pura e disarmante ed ha un messaggio velato che arriva dritto al cuore.
Ma basta chiacchiere, perchè ho avuto l’onore di poter intervistare gli allthetime, proprio in occasione dell’uscita del loro videoclip…E quindi la parola a loro, che di cose da dire ne hanno tantissime.

Noi siamo una band in “vecchio” stile, di quelle che sono nate dagli incontri al liceo e che tengono sempre in prima linea l’aspetto romantico del fare musica. Nasciamo ufficialmente un anno fa, ma in realtà ci conosciamo e suonimo insieme praticamente dalle primissime esperienze. La scelta del nome è un fatto davvero casuale;durante le jam session, che ci siamo trovati a fare, le parti vocali improvvisate ripetevano spesso il suono “allthetime”: era un suono ossessivo, ripetuto continuamente e in ogni parte melodica, al che ci è sembrata una chiara indicazione per la scelta del nome. Onestamente abbiamo tentennato molto all’ inizio perchè a livello di marketing la cosa non era potente o considerata giusta, ma l’istinto ci diceva che quel suono era giusto per noi. Abbiamo optato più per un suono, anche se siamo sicuri che il significato letterario trovera l’ incastro perfetto durante il nostro percorso.
E’ bello il fatto che mettete davanti a tutto il piacere di fare musica, credo che la spontaneità venga sempre premiata…ma una cosa sorge spontanea, perchè un gruppo tutto italiano sceglie di cantare in inglese e guarda al di là dei confini nazionali?
In realtà siamo ufficialmente una band italo- americana. Anche se mediaticamente non appare molto, il nostro co/autore e vocal coach è parte piena e anima della band, e oltre che un grande uomo, è un vero americano di una volta. Ci piace guardare oltre confine solo ed esclusivamente perché sentiamo il bisogno di divulgare la bellezza, attraverso la musica,nel modo piu ampio possibile, e il mondo è davvero troppo bello per rimanere confinati in casa. Da qui anche la scelta di utilizzare la lingua inglese per i testi.
Ah, ecco svelato l’arcano…e invece parliamo di “Are you Feeling Me Now”, è il vostro primo singolo e il vostro primo videoclip. Vi presentate così al pubblico mondiale e quello che mi chiedo è se in un certo modo possiamo considerare questa canzone anche un po’ il vostro manifesto…
Ci sono dei messaggi importanti, il senso di rivalsa, la voglia di farcela…vorrei raccontare ai tuoi lettori come è nato questo brano…stavamo lavorando con difficolta all’adattamento di un altro brano,
con scarsi risultati. Eravamo in sala io (Alberto) e Manny (autore del testo e vocal coach),
e stanchi di cercare possibili vie che ci soddisfacessero a pieno, abbiamo iniziato a parlare d’altro, a prendere il momento per quello che era. Da li è emerso un bellissimo processo creativo che in sole 2 ore ci ha permesso di creare una nuova melodia e un testo che calzava perfettamente la metrica e il sapore della melodia. Un brano che rappresentava perfettamente il momento. E’ stato fantastico,è venuto fuori nel modo più bello, istintivo, naturale e autentico. Ed ecco quindi che possiamo definirlo
sì il nostro manifesto attuale, ma anche l’inizio di una lunga serie. Il messaggio generale è un invito ad agire e a lasciar andare gli attaccamenti, soprattutto quelli che intralciano il nostro procedere. E’ anche un analisi sull’aspetto duale di ogni cosa nell’esistenza, ecco anche spiegato il motivo della scelta di quell’immagine per la copertina e dello scontro che ne consegue. Abbiamo poi scelto di rappresentare questo concetto,apparentemente molto vasto, attraverso la situazione più comune e ordinaria – la fine di un rapporto di coppia- proprio per rivolgerci al maggior numero di persone possibili.
Assolutamente sì, il messaggio arriverà e sarete voi a portarlo in giro per il mondo grazie al Radio World Tour 2017… E quindi in futuro, cosa dobbiamo aspettarci dagli allthetime?Stiamo preparando delle belle sorprese, ne abbiamo davvero alcune di incredibili, ma ci piace anche molto la concretezza, dunque al momento possiamo parlare solo di una piccola parte del nostro progetto e intento. Saremo in giro per promuovere il nostro brano in italia e all’estero, ma il nostro bisogno verte sempre di più, sul condividere, quello che la musica ci porta e ci porterà, con situazioni di bisogno pratico. Per esempio una delle cose su cui stiamo lavorando in questi
giorni è un metodo per rendere tutti partecipi nel migliorare la situazione della collettività, in modo
semplice pratico e immediato, attraverso la collaborazione con persone meravigliose come Giorgio Cerquetti e la sua ONLUS Libera Condivisione. Ma questo è solo l’ inizio.
